Remember from Sunday School, the phrase, "Get thou behind me Satan." It is often our choice that allows him to tempt us. I don't know about others, but I can talk myself into anything. I think it is human nature to like the bright, the shiny, and glorified, which we can see past to see the reality of the moment. Without God, we can allow ourselves to be led astray.
